I am currently almost halfway through my second semester in college. I am very excited to let you know that I’ve decided to go to the University of Iowa this fall, majoring in Economics. The decision about my next step in education has been a long and confusing one. I am super excited to see what God will do during this next stage!
One of the primary reasons for going on the World Race was to start making decisions I felt brought glory to God and learn how to invite Him into those decisions. Another reason is that I want to meet others my age who have a heart for Jesus and who love Him the way I aspire to! God has done so much for me and I am so excited to see how He can use me in Costa Rica. I am so thrilled to have this opportunity and to see how God uses it in my life. I am counting down the days until we leave!
Along with the excitement, one thing I am nervous about is being away from everyone I know for so long. I have never done anything like this before but I know this is where God wants me to be.

I found this while searching for you and was excited to find it. Your Mom said you have been digging trenches to help with flood problems there. That kind of work can bring you to your knees. I’m proud of you for doing that. I’m sure you are seeing a new way of living. We are really lucky to live in a country with so many luxuries. It is 100 degrees here today so it is a day to stay in the house. Hope every thing is going well for you. You take care of yourself and have a good time. I love you, Grandma
